Biostatistician Veera Baladandayuthapani, PhD, who joined U-M in fall 2018, is the featured speaker for January's seminar. His talk will describe how integrative analyses, combined with clinical outcomes, can make sense of not only the large number and varying types of health data available, but also the complex disease processes they represent. A researcher in high-dimensional data modeling and Bayesian machine learning, Baladandayuthapani will use case examples from oncology to illustrate the application of statistical and computational frameworks to aid biomarker discovery and clinical prediction in translational medicine.
