Lauro ojeda, ms

Assistant Research Scientist, Mechanical Engineering

Lauro Ojeda is a Research Scientist at the University of Michigan. He obtained his B. Sc. and M. Sc. in Electronics Engineering at the the Army Polytechnic School in Ecuador. He began his career with a focus on robot motion tracking, later moving towards biomechanics. His contributions in the latter field are widely used by research groups and commercial companies world-wide.

Lauro Ojeda’s research interests include inertial-sensor based tracking systems for gait assessment and motion reconstruction. He developed the first identification techniques capable of providing biomechanical measurements and reconstruction of loss of balance events as they occur in ordinary life.
