Looking Back on a Year of Impact

In January of 2022, the family of Dr. Max Harry Weil—a physician and innovator widely regarded as a key founder of the field of critical care—gifted $10M to Michigan Medicine, formally establishing the new U-M Max Harry Weil Institute for Critical Care Research and Innovation.

Since then, the center formerly known as “MCIRCC” has grown exponentially. We have formed new partnerships, launched new events and supported bold new research. But for everything new, the mission driving us remains the same:

In celebration of our first year as Weil, we’ve collected some of our biggest highlights and achievements from 2022. We accomplished a lot over the past 365 days—just think of what we’ll do in 365 more!

To all of our members, staff, partners and friends: we thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing what 2023 will bring.
