AngioInsight

AngioInsight is a fully automated computer-based platform to assist with coronary angiogram video interpretation.

Value Proposition

AngioInsight improves clinical outcomes through patient-specific diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, and reduces the cost of care through appropriate allocation of medical resources.

Competitive Advantage

Pilot work conducted includes exploration of a proof-of-concept version of AngioInsight, exploring high quality, minimal disease, and limited artifact angiogram videos to train the algorithm. A promising number of correct identifications occurred.

More work will be conducted to determine the accurate identification of more significant and complex blockages.

Unique Features

  • Real-time, quantitative assessment of stenosis

  • Non-invasive measure of blood flow across stenosis

MARKET OPPORTUNITY
Over 2.2 million patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) undergo angiography to evaluate severity of blood vessel blockage (i.e., stenosis). For nearly all of those of patients, clinical treatment decisions are based on subjective physician visual assessment of angiograms. AngioInsight augments patient-specific treatment decisions and optimized allocation of healthcare resources for CAD.
